Proposal
Proposal
In this project we will need to create a final image of a pop art of an object/prop of our choice this means we have to take a professional looking image of our object and then after that we have to proceed to upload the image into Photo Shop CC and continue editing it and I mainly design 4 different images out of one chosen image. This is where we would change the colors around and successfully complete the given task
During our research we have come across different artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein and we have gained knowledge of their famous artworks and how it would help us when making our final design in Photoshop cc.
Furthermore when we are going to take the image I'm going to use two red head lights and a white backdrop I believe that this method is simple and effective because, one of the lights will be on the right side and one on the left so the object would be placed in the middle with minimal shadows and the camera will be one meter away from the object so I can get a detailed shot of the image.
The object I'm thinking of choosing is a Malteser packet this is because I can change the colors of the Malteser balls and the writing on the packet my second Idea is to choose a sprite can this is because it is already colorful and I can change the colors of it around I have chose those two ideas because I believe they haven't been created before and is not to mainstream. When taking the image I will be using Low ISO such as 100 so we can capture as much detail as we can from the objects.
When editing I will be using Photoshop cc and I will design four different images my own way and place them together so it looks professional. during this task I will have to choose which colors are suitable and which colors will make the images stand out. I will be using the curves tool to enhance the lighting on the images.

Pop art lighting setup
My lighting set up
My lighting set up will look something like this I will have two red head lights one on the right and one on the left side and a white backdrop. I will also place the object in between the two lights so there will be a minimal amount of shadows and I will place the camera either on a tripod or in my hands and I will stand one meter away from the object to get the perfect view/and shot.I have chose this setup because I believe it will be a successful and simple to use set up.
Pop art proposal/research
Pop art
Pop art , the time period for pop art emerged around 1950-1960 It was most prominent in American art but soon spread to Britain which they would make art based around everyday objects such as, shoes, cans and drinks. Some of the most famous artists where Roy Lichtenstein painted pictures based on comic strip images, advertising imagery and overt adaptations of works of art by others. Here is an example of one of Roy Lichtenstein’s famous artworks.

What makes a pop art images is mainly primary colors or a few colors that stand out and are bright mainly 3-4 colors and two or more images that use the same colors but in different areas. When pop art originated the themes where mainly based around such things like Coca Cola or comic strips this is because in that era it was popular hence the name ‘pop art’
A pop art image can be used in many different places such as, billboards for advertisement, in places such as Ikea that sell pop art images to put around your house, magazines to emphasize products and street art is also a popular one for modern culture.
Today's digital artists make use of computer aided design programs such as Photoshop rather than paints which are preferred by traditional artists their pop art was often in the form of screen prints of everyday objects, colorfully presented. They used simple techniques to create their artwork such as the silk screen process.
Certain companies can use pop art to advertise their products such as Coca cola, sprite, Fanta this is because their logos on the drinks have a bright color to it and pop art would emphasize this by swapping all the colors around or by adding different colors to it. The equipment I will need is/ Red head light, white backdrop, Camera, tripod, and an object of my choice.
